For this double garage conversion project our client had a 1960’s semi-detached house with a Flat Roof, Brick construction, 1970’s Double Garage.
The client required a self contained Living area, En-suite, Bedroom, Living room and Hallway. In addition the client wanted to retain a Utility room for access from the main house.

The project required the following “key” structural changes.
- Remove Flat Roof, upgrade to pitched tiled roof to match existing House
- Install new Lintels to front and rear elevations, replace footing and front elevation.
- Install Timber Stud framework to front, rear, side elevations including rigid Insulation panels to meet current Building Regs
- Upgrade Consumer unit and install cable runs for Lighting, Sockets, Shower etc.
- Install Radiators, Shower, WC, Sink and Washing Machine and pipe runs as required.
- Connect waste to mains sewage system
- Create new entrance to the apartment from existing House
Time scales for the conversion was 25 working days.
